Pictograms, a resource used in the Special Education environment, are signs that allow the identification of shapes, habits or states of mind. These allow the message to be synthesized so that it can be recognized without the need for speech.
The most commonly used pictogram in teaching is that of graphic symbols, which is recognized by children through very characteristic images or drawings.
Currently, many classrooms still use the traditional method of images and paper content. But, with the increase of technologies in education, pictograms can be used in different tools such as tablets and computers.
At Smile and Learn we want our content to be accessible to all children, that’s why our story collections contain pictograms, which will bring our educational content closer to the little ones.
